WE NEED TO STOP BEING SO WORRIED ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK

It's killing our business.

All that noise is getting louder and louder and louder... trying to get your attention... trying make it harder to stand out.

Why are we volunteering to worry about what we say being taken as offensive to anybody else?

If conforming, fitting in and playing along is more important to us than serving, we might as well stop, give up, and go to work for somebody else.

It's ridiculous. At some point we're going to have to get an attitude problem about it.

At some point we've got to say...

I refuse to allow strangers to dictate my life.
I refuse to give them power.

It's so easy to make a difference and to stand out.

It's unbelievably easy if you know how to get the right kind of attention and you truly don't care if others like you or how you deliver your message.

It's freeing.

Say what you mean.
Give your opinions.
Say how you feel about things.
Let the world know where you stand.

The entire point of doing that is to separate fans from haters.
You don't want anything to do with haters anyway.

You can't do anything for them.
They don't serve your life.
They will never agree with you.

They're not to buy your products or services so why do you care what they think about you?

Instead say, "Hey thanks... next."

It's always "next."

If we don't get in the habit real quick of standing out, we're going to lose them.

And we're going to lose our business in the process.

I just don't think that I'm willing to let live the rest of my life fear of what strangers may or may not say about me.

Screw that.

It's time to take back our power.

Put our foot down, stake our claim and feel comfortable about who we are and where we stand in this world.
